This Wednesday marks seven months and 10 days since the disappearance of young Cuban woman Karildi Caridad Marín in Havana. Her brother, Yoandri Marín, who has been sharing messages and her photo online to keep the case alive, posted a new message.

"There is a sense of sentiment and humanity that nothing can take away from me, and that is my love for my sister. Time passes and yet, there's no clue about her whereabouts or what might have happened," he stated on Facebook.

"I only hope to hear about my sister Karildi when everyone has given up. We, your family, will remain vigilant. Cuba belongs to everyone, and I belong to my family," he affirmed.

Unanswered Questions and Family's Determination

Karildi Marín, 24, resides in Párraga, in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality of Havana. She disappeared on the night of December 14th when she went to a party in El Cerro, and since then, no one has heard from her.

Her brother has often expressed his frustration, but he remains committed to continuing the search. "It can't be possible that my sister has been missing for almost six months and we still don't have any progress leading to a clear answer about her disappearance. Time passes, but the pain remains the same and I believe it increases every day, as the uncertainty is very painful," he said in June.

"Your family will stay determined until we find you because nothing can remain hidden between heaven and earth," he added.

On Mother's Day, the girl's father dedicated a message to her on Facebook, sharing several photos of her in her role as a mother, including one when she was pregnant shortly before giving birth, and others with her daughter. "A path of blessings for my granddaughter and her mother," wrote Tomás Marín, before accusing the officers involved in the case of inaction. "I am sure that if it were the daughter of one of them, she would have been found by now."

Yoandri has also criticized the inefficiency of the authorities. "Those who are supposed to ensure citizen safety are not doing their job properly... There are no clues about her, why is it that despite having provided leads, no suspect has emerged?" he questioned in April.
