Cuban animal advocate Yenney Caballero took to social media on Monday to celebrate the successful surgery of Simbad, a puppy suffering from a bone fracture that prevented him from walking. In a heartfelt Facebook post, the activist exclaimed, "We did it once again, and I am happy. As a team, we save many lives."

Just days earlier, Caballero had reached out for help to raise the 18,000 pesos needed to cover the puppy's surgery. The operation was a success, as confirmed by the activist on her social media, where she also thanked everyone who placed their trust in her. She highlighted the crucial role of donations and the sharing of her posts in making this possible. "Thank you for giving me the strength to continue this mission," she expressed gratefully.

Caballero acknowledged the significant contributions from many individuals, expressing deep appreciation. Motivated by this support, she reaffirmed her commitment to animal welfare, stating, "We will keep doing good deeds because if you support me, I will keep fighting for the animals."

She also promised to keep her followers updated on Simbad's recovery, expressing optimism about his progress: "We will soon see him running on all four paws. Yes, we can do it."

Previous Efforts and Community Mobilization

This is not the first time Caballero has shown her unconditional love for animals. Recently, she rallied the Cuban animal-loving community to financially support the surgery of another puppy that suffered a bone fracture after falling from a staircase. On that occasion, she sought help to raise the 16,500 pesos needed for the operation of the puppy, who had sustained a radial and ulnar fracture.
