A desperate Cuban mother is seeking help for her four-year-old daughter's critical health condition, pleading for treatment outside the country. Leidanis Benítez, from Sancti Spíritus, revealed that her young daughter underwent surgery for a small intestine obstruction, which resulted in the near-total removal of the organ. Only six centimeters remain, making it impossible for her to tolerate any food.

"It's been a long process; we've been in the José Martí Pérez Pediatric Hospital in the province of Sancti Spíritus for 21 days," she shared on the Facebook group "humanitarian aid."

"The doctors tell us that, unfortunately, our country does not have the sufficient resources. I am begging for humanitarian aid so my daughter can be transferred to a country where there are resources to save her," she emphasized.
