Dorys, a young Cuban woman from Holguín living in Italy, addressed a question posed on her friend’s TikTok account, named Alegría Cubana, about why she hasn't brought her mother to visit the European country.

In a video, Dorys explained that she hasn't brought any of her family members to Italy due to economic and logistical difficulties. Additionally, she mentioned that her mother has a significant fear of flying and emphasized that it would be impossible to convince her to get on a plane, even if offered a million euros. "My mom wouldn't get on a plane even if they paid her a million euros. She is terrified. My mom has never taken a flight from Holguín to Havana," the Cuban woman expressed.

However, the young woman also expressed her dissatisfaction with people who, without knowing the true situation, use social media to judge and draw conclusions far removed from the reality each person lives. "Everyone has their own reasons, and I don't understand why there are such mean people who make those comments. It makes me so sad, I swear, that there are people with such a gray and dark soul," she added.
