Young Man Finds Wallet with Documents and Cards on Santiago de Cuba Street, Seeks to Return It

A young man residing in Santiago de Cuba found a wallet containing documents and cards on the street this Monday and immediately sought to return it to its owner, without expecting any reward in return.

The protagonist of this commendable act contacted independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who shared a photo of an official document on his Facebook page that included the owner's name.

"His name is Norge Luis Torres Ferrer, and according to some documents inside the wallet, he lives in the Asunción neighborhood of Santiago de Cuba," Labrada revealed.

The wallet was found near the 18 Plantas buildings on Victoriano Garzón Avenue.

To retrieve his wallet, no money is required; the owner only needs to present a photo ID that matches the documents found, to ensure it is returned to the correct person. The owner can also call +53 52551106.

At the time of writing this article, it is still unknown if Torres Ferrer has recovered his wallet. Meanwhile, the reporter's post has garnered dozens of comments praising the young man's honest actions, whose identity has not been disclosed.

"There are still honorable people; may God bless this young man immensely for such a great gesture," expressed one young woman.

"If only there were millions of people like this, best wishes and keep it up, do good without looking who," commented a woman from Matanzas.

"Blessings, because getting new documents is like going to heaven," noted another woman.

"Beautiful gesture, something rarely seen these days. Even if they have no money, some people prefer to throw away or destroy the documents," lamented a lawyer.
