The Cuban police apprehended an alleged criminal after he was caught red-handed by the homeowner while stealing from a house in the Bahía neighborhood of Havana del Este last Sunday.
According to a report on Facebook by the profile “El Cubano Fiel,” which is linked to the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), on the night of July 28, “the owner of a house caught a thief in the act, who had entered his home using a false key.”
Upon being discovered by the owner, the burglar “had already taken clothing and a large sum of money,” the post detailed.
“After a call was made to 106, a police patrol arrived and took the criminal into custody,” the report stated.
The post shared a photograph of the young man but did not disclose his name or other details.
