Maduro Labels Elon Musk and Javier Milei as Satanists

In a bizarre new development, Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro has accused entrepreneur Elon Musk and Argentine President Javier Milei of being satanists. Both Musk and Milei have publicly expressed suspicions of fraud in Venezuelan elections and their disdain for the Chavista leader.

During the anniversary celebration of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Maduro claimed that Musk displays demonic symbols on his social media profiles and alleged the existence of satanic cults linked to U.S. power structures. "Look at his profile, the demonic symbols on his chest. These are satanic cults from U.S. power, which have connected with cults like Milei's; or in Venezuela, satanic cults like this fascism that has attacked the country," Maduro declared, framing this as a "spiritual struggle" against those who oppose his regime.

A Spiritual Battle According to Maduro

Maduro, who has been in power for over a decade, dismantling Venezuelan state institutions and blocking democratic change, sees his regime as being in a "spiritual battle between good and evil; between hatred, lies, deceit, and fascism." "They told me exactly what to do with the Devil, with the demonic symbols handled by Elon Musk... Because you all know about the occultism behind Hitler," a visibly disturbed Maduro said before the GNB leadership.

Known for his outlandish statements, such as talking to birds that deliver messages from Hugo Chávez and various other bizarre claims, Maduro added another peculiar accusation from his intelligence and communication services, heavily influenced by the Cuban regime. "I felt his spirit, I felt it there as if giving us a blessing, telling us today the battle begins," Maduro said when he came to power in 2013, interpreting it as a divine sign from Chávez.

Despite claiming to be a "Christian," Maduro reportedly has a witch doctor in Miami who frequently travels to Caracas to read his cards. According to Venezuelan journalist David Placer, the witch doctor's name is Cirilo Enrique Rodulfo, a former member of the armed forces who charged exorbitant fees for his services in 2019. Meanwhile, ex-Chavista general Hugo Carvajal revealed in June 2019 that Maduro spent a substantial $500,000 on religious sacrifices in Cuba. Carvajal claims that Maduro's Santería godfather is Carlos Osorio, a former minister of transportation and current president of the Venezuelan Mining Corporation (CVM).

Response from Milei and Musk

In response to Maduro's baseless accusations of Milei being part of a satanic cult, the Argentine president used his profile on X to retort. "The communists attack us, full of insolence and impiety, to exterminate us, our women, and our children, and to seize our spoils," wrote Milei, reaffirming his critical stance against Maduro.

Tensions between Maduro and Elon Musk are not new; both have engaged in a series of critical exchanges, particularly regarding the political crisis in Venezuela. While Maduro accuses Musk of orchestrating attacks against his government, the American billionaire has called him a drug addict, reminded him of his DEA arrest warrant, and has been an outspoken critic of his policies and governance.

The relationship between Milei and Maduro has also been contentious, especially following the elections where the Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE) declared the Chavista candidate as the winner in his second re-election. Milei was one of the first world leaders to denounce electoral fraud, prompting Maduro to label him as a "cowardly creature."

Last week, verbal confrontations between Maduro and Musk escalated. Musk accepted Maduro's challenge to a fight, suggesting that if he won, Maduro should step down as Venezuela's dictator; and if Maduro won, Musk would invite him on a free trip to Mars. Although taken in a mocking tone, this challenge highlighted the growing animosity between the two.
