Alina Robert Celebrates Selection as Miss Cuba 2024 Candidate: "Proud to Wear This Sash"

Cuba returns to the Miss Universe stage after a 57-year hiatus, and the excitement surrounding the selection of the island's representative couldn't be higher. Twenty-four Cuban women are vying for the title of beauty queen, hoping to travel to Mexico in November for the competition. Among them is actress Alina Robert, who is thrilled and proud to be a candidate for Miss Universe Cuba 2024.

Alina Robert, 37, represents Havana, where she lived for 21 years before moving to the United States, where she has resided for the past 16 years. The actress and presenter expressed her pride in wearing the sash bearing the name of Cuba's capital. She shared her excitement in a post celebrating her candidacy in the beauty contest. "I am genuinely excited to remember the city where I was born, where I spent 21 years of my life, and which represents my identity. I am a Habanera and have the honor of representing Havana. What a pride to see myself with this sash!!!"

"I arrived in Miami by crossing the border. I have spent almost half of my life living in Miami, but my entire childhood, adolescence, and character formation took place in Cuba. My positively modified version of freedom, democracy, values, opportunities, and rights, I discovered here in Miami. That's why I'm from Havana, and Miami is my home," Robert said in a story, reflecting on her journey. The actress gained popularity after participating in Univision's Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2014, where she finished as the fourth finalist.
