The individuals impacted by a recent food poisoning outbreak in the municipality of Corralillo, Villa Clara, are now "in their homes in good health," according to an official source from the Ministry of Health in that province.

"It's been over 72 hours since any new cases have appeared. We reiterate that there were no severe patients or fatalities," stated Dr. Juan José Pulido López, Director General of Health for Villa Clara, on Facebook.

The situation caused significant concern among the residents of Corralillo after 16 individuals, including several minors, exhibited symptoms of dehydration, diarrhea, and vomiting following the consumption of domestically produced condensed milk. The product was distributed by the local Agricultural Company and originated from the Sagua Dairy Company, according to Pulido López.

The incident was initially reported when several affected individuals visited the clinic in the main town of Corralillo, prompting health authorities to issue an immediate alert.

The patients were transferred to the 'Mártires del 9 de Abril' hospital in Sagua la Grande, where they received medical attention.

In response to the situation, local authorities visited the area to oversee the actions being taken and issued warnings for the population to avoid consuming the affected product.

Additionally, according to Pulido López, samples of the product have been sent to the provincial laboratory to determine the exact cause of the outbreak, although the results have yet to be confirmed.
