Yanet Rojas Ramírez, a mother of two, passed away on Sunday at the Lucía Iñiguez Clinical-Surgical Hospital after being hospitalized due to a car accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the municipality of Mayarí, located in the province of Holguín.
According to a social media report by journalist Emilio Rodríguez Pupo, she had been diagnosed with abdominal trauma and underwent surgery. The tragic accident also injured her two children: Lisbeth Ávila Rojas, 6, who sustained a femur fracture but is in stable condition at the Holguín Pediatric Hospital, and Lázaro Ávila Rojas, 8, who is also hospitalized in Holguín and is recovering normally.
