A powerful blaze consumed the Bar Restaurant "Amores Susana" in the early hours of Friday morning. The privately-owned establishment, located on Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Street in Mayarí, Holguín, was reduced to ashes. Fortunately, no human lives were lost, according to a Facebook post by Keren Menéndez Ortega, who appears to be connected to the restaurant.
"This is what remains of 'Amores Susana,' just ashes. But tomorrow, like the Phoenix, new life will arise from the ashes. God is in control of everything; as He gives, He also takes away, but always multiplies," Menéndez Ortega wrote on social media.
Meanwhile, the independent media outlet La Tijera reported that the cause of the fire is under investigation by authorities. Images posted by the outlet show the establishment engulfed in flames in the middle of the night.
This incident is part of a troubling trend, as several significant fires have been reported in Cuba this week. In another tragic event, a family of three adults and a one-year-old child perished in a fire that broke out in their home in Havana.
