Three Cuban citizens were arrested on Friday night and charged with drug trafficking during a police operation in the Mexican state of Hidalgo, specifically in the municipality of Mineral de Reforma.

The Cubans, along with a Guatemalan and a Mexican national, are reportedly members of a gang involved in extorting local residents and business owners. According to the police report, drugs, motorcycles, and documents linking them to drug trafficking and possible extortion through "gota a gota" loans were seized during the operation.

Authorities did not provide details about the detainees but urged the public to report any knowledge of the suspects. "The suspects and the confiscated items have been handed over to judicial authorities, and investigations are ongoing to dismantle this criminal network," stated local media outlet Pachuca Informa.

Recent Arrests in Tizayuca

Recently, in the same locality, a Cuban woman and man were arrested following a police raid on several nightclubs in Tizayuca. During this operation, more than 300 doses of suspected drugs were confiscated.

The authorities identified those involved by their initials, making it impossible to determine their full identities. However, the mentioned media specified that the detainees are a Cuban man and woman, named M. F. M. and M. A. R.

In Pachuca, seventeen Cubans were also arrested during an anti-drug operation conducted by the police. The network included 20 foreigners, comprising three Venezuelans and the aforementioned Cubans, from whom 100 doses of synthetic drugs, known as "crystal," and 83 doses of marijuana were seized, as reported by the authorities.
