A Cuban living abroad has started a search for the descendants of his great-great-aunt, utilizing social media to aid his efforts. Daniel Milián Rizo shared a photograph of the house once occupied by his great-great-aunt in the Facebook group "El Vedado Hoy," hoping to find assistance from residents of that Havana neighborhood.

"I am looking to contact the descendants of the marriage between José A. Villaverde and Amparo Kramer Pimentel. Amparo is my great-great-aunt, and she passed away in 1949. If there are any living descendants in the home, they would likely be grandchildren or great-grandchildren," Milián Rizo wrote, providing clues for his search.

The house depicted in the image is located at number 62 on Calle M in El Vedado.

Some members of the Facebook group have responded to Milián Rizo's post, offering important information for his search. His efforts are part of a broader trend among other Cubans who have also turned to social media to locate family members, particularly parents or children.

In February of this year, a woman from the Czech Republic successfully located her father, a Cuban resident of the Holguín province. Similarly, a Cuban father living in Miami sought help to find his two daughters, whom he has not seen since 1980. The man, named Miguel Ramos, asked a friend to assist in his search, and she turned to social media to spread the word.

Additionally, an Angolan woman residing in Belgium posted an announcement to find her Cuban father, identified as José Cabrera (Pepe) from Florida, Camagüey.
