Cubano Tries Sushi in the U.S. for the First Time: "It Smells Like Raw Fish"

A Cuban TikTok user, known for sharing his experiences after arriving in the United States this past July, tried sushi for the first time. Although he was very excited, his initial impression was that it smelled like raw fish.

Sergitosant (@sergitosant) shared his enthusiasm on TikTok as he tasted the famous dish for the first time, though he expressed some doubt: “I’ve always said I would like it, but I smelled it and it smells like raw fish. I don’t know if I’ll like it or not.”

The young man explained that he had salmon and tuna sushi in front of him: “It’s not bad,” he noted. “It’s an exotic combination,” he emphasized, and said that although he liked it, on a scale from one to ten, with ten being the highest, he would give the famous dish a seven.

First Time Trying Greek Yogurt

Recently, the young TikToker shared a video showcasing his reaction to trying Greek yogurt for the first time.

“First time in my life trying Greek yogurt and this brand too, Chobani... When I was in Cuba, I used to see influencers, celebrities, and cool internet people consuming this brand,” said @sergitosant before starting his taste test of the coffee-flavored yogurt. Although he did not have high expectations, his curiosity led him to try it.

Another moment the TikToker shared on social media was his first visit to a Costco market, where he said he felt “traumatized.”
