An 84-year-old Cuban woman has fled the island on a boat along with about twenty other people, including her daughter who accompanied and cared for her during the journey. The group arrived at Marathon in the Florida Keys on Thursday at 11:00 p.m. and was intercepted by the U.S. Border Patrol.

Influencer Dairon Cano shared several videos on his TikTok account showing the elderly woman reunited with her children and grandchildren in what will now be her new home. The woman, who previously lived in the Guanabacoa municipality of Havana, appeared overjoyed to be surrounded by her loving family.

On a table beside her, there were 15 packages of La Llave coffee, as her family mentioned that she loves coffee. "She went through a lot of hardship just to have a cup of coffee, and now she's going to have plenty," one of her daughters remarked.

"The family is now complete here," a happy grandson emphasized.

The videos did not specify what type of boat the elderly woman used to leave Cuba. Cubans who arrive in the United States via this method are released with a Form I-220B and an order of deportation.
