Independent media confirmed this Saturday the discovery of the body of 20-year-old Lianet Núñez Pérez, a resident of the Jesús María neighborhood in Old Havana, who had been reported missing since Friday.
Lianet, who was last seen on the night of Thursday, August 22, was found dead with signs of strangulation, an act allegedly committed by her boyfriend, according to independent reporter Irma Broek on Facebook.

Baby rest in peace my white paper color, I refuse to believe you're gone, but if you are, I'll keep the smiles, the chats, the hugs, knowing I had nothing left unsaid," he expressed.
Núñez was last seen the night before her disappearance, and her last communication was with her partner via WhatsApp. Her cell phone was either off or out of coverage, but it was one of the last traces before her disappearance.
