Italian prosecutors are requesting a five-year prison sentence for Lindys Pérez Felip, a 40-year-old Cuban woman arrested in January in Italy for allegedly drugging and robbing multiple men she met through online dating sites.

Pérez has agreed with the prosecutors in the province of Monza and Brianza to negotiate a five-year sentence, but the investigating judge will decide whether to accept the prosecution's request in a preliminary hearing scheduled for this month.

Nicknamed "the second mantis" due to the similarity with a case involving an Italian woman from Brianza sentenced to 16 years in prison for similar acts, the Cuban woman faces charges of robbery and assault in five separate incidents, according to local media reports.

Based on the investigation, Pérez—who also holds Bolivian citizenship—used the same modus operandi to deceive and rob her victims, all older men she met on a dating site under the pseudonym "Beautiful F." When meeting them, she would drug them with coffee laced with benzodiazepines to steal their belongings. The crimes took place in Cornate d’Adda.

Details of the Incidents

A week before her arrest, Pérez had an encounter with a 52-year-old taxi driver from southern Milan. While driving back, dazed and confused from the drug she had slipped into his drink, the man veered off the road and crashed into a gate. After the incident, he realized she had stolen 650 euros from him and reported it to the authorities.

An even more severe incident occurred after Pérez's meeting with a 66-year-old man from Trezzo sull’Adda in his car. The drug in the coffee, which she brought in a thermos and served in paper cups, acted too quickly, causing the man severe distress. He was airlifted to a hospital.

During a search of the borrowed residence where Pérez was staying in Brianza, the carabinieri found paper cups and a vial of benzodiazepines. When questioned, she claimed to work as a physiotherapist in Bolivia.

Three additional complaints arose during the police investigation, revealing a consistent criminal pattern: similar situations involving male victims she met online. One of the victims had traveled from Switzerland to Italy to meet her.

Authorities have been unsuccessful in locating a possible accomplice of Pérez, another Cuban woman who was frequently seen with her in local bars.
