The incident occurred on Wednesday, shortly before 5:00 PM, at the intersection of 49th Street and 11th Avenue West in Hialeah. The alleged assailant, identified as Osmani Menéndez, is 37 years old.
According to the police report obtained by América Noticias, the elderly man was seated in the front seat of the car, which was running, while his son entered the supermarket. Menéndez took advantage of the situation, opened the driver's door, and threatened the victim, claiming he had a weapon.
