After days of intense stress and sleepless nights, a Cuban man had the fortunate experience of recovering two motorcycles that had been stolen in the Reparto 26 de Julio area of Holguín province.

In an event organized by the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), the citizen got his vehicles back. "It was sleepless nights, but it was worth it," the victim commented.

In a post on the social media platform Facebook, the profile "Realidades desde Holguín," which is close to the MININT, reported that the incident had occurred a week earlier.

Additionally, it was mentioned that Lieutenant Colonel Yoel Sánchez Pérez highlighted the crucial role played by the neighbors, who provided constant support throughout the investigation.

He also praised the trust placed by the victim and the community in the authorities, emphasizing that this is not an isolated case, as other stolen goods have been recovered and will be returned to their owners in the coming days.

Community Support and Law Enforcement Contrasts

However, the situation is vastly different in most cases. For instance, residents of Manicaragua in Villa Clara expressed their outrage over the police's negligence and inaction in that municipality regarding the theft of more than a thousand crates of yuca from an 80-year-old farmer who, despite his age, continues to work the land.

Veteran farmer Pedro Ramos Toscano was the victim of the theft of that amount of the tuber in late August and reported it to the PNR, which has done nothing to capture the thieves.

A 30-year-old Cuban man was murdered last Friday in Havana during a violent robbery that left a family in mourning and shocked friends and acquaintances.

Enmanuel Rosales, originally from Ciego de Ávila province and residing in the Cuban capital, was stabbed near the Bus Terminal in Plaza de la Revolución while heading to his home in the town of Cojímar.

A suspected thief was captured by residents of the Indaya neighborhood in the Marianao municipality of Havana and held until the police arrived.

A video shared on YouTube by the independent media outlet Cubanet showed the moment the individual was cornered after allegedly robbing one of the houses in the settlement.
