Venezuelan Mother and Daughters Find Support in Miami's Cuban Community

Friday, September 13, 2024 by James Rodriguez

A Venezuelan mother of two young girls, who recently arrived in the United States, has received altruistic support from the Cuban community in Miami. TikToker Dairon Cano, known for assisting fellow countrymen in challenging situations, shared the story of the young woman who traversed several countries with her daughters on a perilous journey, arriving in the U.S. just 17 days ago.

Cano interviewed a Cuban woman who encountered the trio on the street and decided to help them. "They are living in a motel, they have no resources, they have nothing, they can't cook because it's a motel. I have been helping them with food, and she's part of an association called 'Hermanos de la Calle' that gave her a month of free lodging in that motel - she has 14 days left - and they provide one meal a day, lunch," she explained.

The good Samaritan revealed that several of her friends and she are providing breakfast and dinner and have pooled about $300 to buy some essentials and medicine for the sick children. The influencer urged his followers to assist the young woman with money, but more importantly, with a job that would allow her to rent a stable place to live.

A Community Comes Together

Later, Dairon shared another video showing a Cuban family gifting the Venezuelan mother clothing, appliances, and toys for the girls. "Thank you so much, God bless you and multiply your blessings, give you lots of life, health, and many blessings because not everyone does this," she said emotionally.

"This is what we need to do, my people, help those who are down and support them," he emphasized. The young woman cried for being away from her mother and the rest of her family, and for everything she endured with her daughters during their journey from Panama to Mexico, through other Central American countries.

"In Mexico, they treat you like you're the worst trash in the world," she lamented.
