A Cuban woman has turned to social media to seek assistance in locating Yankier Correa, a young man with moderate mental retardation, who has been missing for the past two days in Havana.

"Hello friends, this young man has been absent from his home for two days. His name is Yankier Correa. He has moderate mental retardation and is not aggressive. Please, if you see him, urgently contact his family," wrote Lanny Valdés on the social media platform Facebook.

In her post, Valdés stressed that Yankier has communication difficulties and struggles to navigate the city. "It is very likely that he is lost and doesn't know how to return home."

She mentioned that when Yankier left his home, he was wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. He resides in the Villa Panamericana area of Havana del Este, but could be anywhere in Havana.

Valdés also urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the numbers 77663159 or 55817189. "The family is very worried, as his condition makes him especially vulnerable," she added.

On Friday, it was reported that Cuban boatman Hubert Rodolfo Fonseca Rivero, who had been missing in Havana since last Sunday, returned safely to his family. According to the digital site CubaNet, his wife Leidys Rodríguez stated that Fonseca's car broke down in Matanzas and his cellphone ran out of battery, preventing him from making contact.
