A passenger truck carrying mostly children and teenagers collided with a car and subsequently fled the scene after unloading all its passengers. The incident took place on Monday in the Las Guásimas area, on the Siboney road in Santiago de Cuba.

According to a witness who spoke to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, the truck driver fled after the car's driver brandished a machete and challenged him. Mayeta shared photos and a video of the incident on his Facebook page, clearly showing the truck's license plate: P240525.

The truck was transporting students from various educational levels and workers returning from their jobs. The driver had charged 109 pesos for the entire route and 20 pesos for shorter trips.

"He left without refunding our money; we were all forced to get off because even the fare collector pulled out a machete and had a pipe," recounted one of the affected young women.
