As of September 24, the US dollar has returned to its value of 320 CUP in Cuba's informal currency exchange market, following a brief rise on Monday when it reached 322 CUP. This change disrupted a 52-day period of stability where the US currency remained unchanged. The slight increase of two pesos sparked some expectations, but the dollar has now settled back to its previous rate in the island's informal market.
Regarding other foreign currencies, the euro remains unchanged at 330 CUP, and the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) also holds steady at 270 CUP. Despite these minor fluctuations, the instability of these currencies continues to be a significant concern for Cubans who rely on them for their purchases amidst a severe economic crisis.
