Thursday, September 26, 2024 by Isabella Sanchez

Heidy Díaz, a Cuban woman known on TikTok as @heidydiazsosa, recently shared a video that has garnered hundreds of reactions. In the video, she proudly illustrates the effort and dedication required to live in the United States. On her day off, Heidy works cleaning a house, showcasing the sacrifices necessary to thrive in the country.

"Look, my loves, on my day off, I'm cleaning a house. This shows that in this country, you come to work and prosper, but if you don't work, you're nobody, and you won't achieve anything in life," she said as she started cleaning a bathroom.

Heidy emphasized that despite the high cost of living, including rent and utilities, she continues with determination and without shame about her additional jobs. "I'm not embarrassed to say that my second job is cleaning a house because I do it honestly," she stated.

The Reality of Life Abroad

In her message, Heidy also reminded viewers that life abroad is not as easy as many might think: "If families and friends in Cuba knew everything we have to go through in this country, they wouldn't demand so much, my loves."

The video, shared about 12 hours ago, has received numerous supportive comments from users who commend her for her sacrifice and fighting spirit, sharing their own stories: "That's how we Cubans are, my friend, we are fighters"; "My friend, you are a warrior, may God bless you"; "You are absolutely right, I do the same, I clean residential houses and end up exhausted, blessings,” some said.

Encouragement and Recognition

Other users praised her perseverance and encouraged her to keep going, assuring her that God will reward her efforts: "You are right, but God will reward you."

Heidy's message has resonated with many immigrants who, like her, face the challenges of building a life in another country. Her story demonstrates that with hard work and sacrifice, it is possible to succeed while maintaining faith that better times are ahead.
