Wednesday, September 25, 2024 by Daniel Vasquez

On Tuesday morning, an eerie and unusual scene unfolded in Miami-Dade County as traffic cameras captured a man dressed as a horrifying clown on a pedestrian bridge over the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826), near Southwest 40th Street.

The identity of the individual remains unknown, but he was seen holding what appeared to be a large, black object that police suspect might have been a hammer. The chilling sight was enough to alert authorities and cause concern among drivers on the busy highway.

Total Traffic, a real-time traffic monitoring service, shared a video showing the clown running from the overpass just moments before Miami-Dade police officers arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, the authorities were unable to apprehend the individual.

According to reports, the suspect was last seen in the Westchester area, near Southwest 35th Street and 76th Avenue. Miami-Dade police have called on the community for assistance and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

This unusual incident has stirred unease among local residents, who hope that the police can track down the person responsible.
