A 72-year-old woman named Mirtha Mayedo Carreño, originally from Nuevitas in Camagüey, has been missing since the beginning of this week. She was last seen in the area of 80, Playa Santa Lucía de Nuevitas, wearing a blue t-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers, as described in the photograph shared by her family.

Social media user Madelaine Castillo reached out online seeking assistance to find the elderly woman. Mirtha’s daughter, Denia Batista Mayedo, is in a state of distress and mentioned that it is unclear whether her mother boarded any bus.

The family has provided the phone number 5424 5002 for anyone with information regarding Mirtha’s whereabouts. She is affectionately known as Chicha among her close friends and family.

In related news, it was reported this Wednesday that another elderly Cuban man is disoriented and currently staying at a hospital in Sancti Spíritus. The hospital staff has asked for help in locating his relatives.
