These establishments have stood out for their quality and authenticity, securing notable positions in the rankings for both 2023 and 2024.
In the 2023 edition, O' Munaciello, located in the historic MiMo district and Coral Way, achieved the 25th spot among the top 50 pizzerias worldwide. This eatery, an extension of the renowned Florentine pizzeria, is celebrated for its authentic Neapolitan pizza, featuring dough that ferments for 48 hours and is baked in a traditional brick oven visible from its open kitchen.

On the other hand, La Leggenda, situated on Española Way in Miami Beach, was ranked 73rd in 2023. Founded by Giovanni Gagliardi, who hails from a family of Italian pizzaiolos, La Leggenda is distinguished by its Pizza Napoletana and gluten-free dough options, making it a local favorite.
In the 2024 rankings, both pizzerias moved up: La Leggenda climbed to the 45th position, solidifying its status as a Miami staple and gaining international acclaim. O' Munaciello also remained prominent, holding the 55th spot, reaffirming its reputation as one of the best pizzerias outside Italy.
Recognition in the USA
The achievements of these pizzerias were also highlighted in the "Top 50 Pizzas USA 2024" list, where La Leggenda secured the 9th spot, and O' Munaciello came in at 11th. These accolades underscore Miami's rising prominence in the global pizza scene, establishing the sunny city as a top-tier destination for Neapolitan pizza enthusiasts.

Adding to its allure, La Leggenda is a popular spot among celebrities. Former soccer player Gerard Piqué frequents the restaurant with his children when visiting Miami. Previously, he was seen there with Shakira when they were a couple.
