A thief who violently shoved a 72-year-old man to the ground to steal his cellphone has been apprehended by the police in Havana.
According to "El Cubano Fiel", an official profile associated with the Ministry of the Interior, the incident took place on Calle 1, between 182 and 184, in the Alamar neighborhood, Habana del Este municipality.
"The criminal caught the elderly man off guard and pushed him. After seeing him on the ground, he snatched a Motorola phone from his hands and fled," the post detailed.
The perpetrator, depicted in a photo as a young man, took advantage of the senior's vulnerability, pushing him to the ground and then seizing the cellphone. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the local police station.
