A bus on route 222, with the number 5365, collided with a minibus this Saturday at the intersection of streets 160 and 51, near the La Lisa Terminal. The bus, which was about to start its next trip as part of the Santiago route reinforcement, hit the minibus at a traffic light intersection, according to images shared by the Havana Transportation Department on Facebook.

The post reported that there were only material damages to both vehicles, with no casualties or injuries. Currently, it is not clear which driver was at fault for the crash, as it seems one of the vehicles attempted to take the right of way from the other.

Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the accident to clarify the events and take appropriate measures, according to the information provided.

Online users expressed their regret over another public transport bus being taken out of service amid the severe transportation crisis in the country.

Another traffic accident occurred last Monday in Santiago de Cuba, also involving a passenger bus at the intersection of Trocha and Santo Tomás streets, near the well-known La Pelota Café. In this case, the vehicle was struck by a classic car, known locally as an "almendrón."
