Residents of a house in Urbano Noris, Holguín, experienced a harrowing ordeal when three alleged thieves broke into their home, tying them up to carry out their robbery.

The incident took place in the early hours of September 22 on 14th Street in the aforementioned area, according to the Facebook page associated with the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) "Cazador-Cazado."

According to the source, the intruders, after threatening the residents with bladed weapons and restraining them, made off with "over 19,000 pesos, cell phones, clothing, a gold chain, a television, and even a private ETZ motorcycle."

Furthermore, it was reported that two of the suspects have been apprehended thanks to the cooperation of several individuals, while the third suspect remains at large and is being sought by the police.

Nonetheless, some commenters on the post have expressed skepticism about the identity of one of the suspects, claiming there is evidence that he was with other people on the night of September 22. It is advisable to wait for official confirmation of the facts.

What is clear is that the investigation is ongoing, adding another blemish to the already tarnished reputation of the Cuban police, which has faced severe criticism for its inaction in the face of frequent murders and criminal activities on the island.

Another Incident in San Germán

Just over a month ago, in San Germán, also in Urbano Noris, another family went through a terrifying and uncertain experience during a violent robbery that resulted in an hour-long hostage situation.

The family consisted of three individuals: a woman, her husband, and her minor grandson. In this case, three heavily armed men "stormed into the house, subjecting the occupants to an hour of anguish and fear."

The three victims were gagged by the assailants for an hour, during which the criminals stole an MZ motorcycle, the woman's gold chain, her earrings, and several household appliances.
