Cuban Woman Apologizes to Señorita Dayana for Wedding Criticism: "I'm Disappointed"

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 by Bella Nunez

A Cuban woman took to TikTok to reflect on the offensive comments made by her fellow countrymen during the live stream of Señorita Dayana's wedding. The Cuban singer ended the broadcast abruptly, fueling all sorts of rumors about the ceremony, which took place last Saturday in Miami.

In her video, user @elixir_karen congratulates Señorita Dayana on her marriage and apologizes on behalf of the Cuban community for the comments made during the live stream. "I just watched the live stream of Señorita Dayana's wedding. By the way, congratulations, blessings, you looked beautiful, and I apologize on behalf of the entire Cuban community," she expressed in the video.

A Call for Respect and Decency

However, her tone becomes critical as she describes the behavior of some viewers, whom she labeled as "vile" and "disgusting" for criticizing aspects such as the guests' attire, the ceremony, and the presence of certain artists like singer El Chacal. The user did not hide her frustration with how Cubans, in her experience, tend to "drag each other down," especially during such a special moment like the singer's wedding. "It's disgusting how we Cubans tear each other down. Such a beautiful and special day for someone. If you don't like it, just leave the live stream," she emphasized.

Besides showing solidarity with the singer, she advised Señorita Dayana to keep her personal life private, as she believes not everyone has good intentions. "You are a public figure, but keep your personal matters private. Don't post so much, because as you can see, it leads to this," she pointed out.

A Heartfelt Apology

The video wraps up with the user reiterating her disappointment and apologizing once more on behalf of all Cubans who, according to her, fail to appreciate others' happy moments. "Dayana, I wish you a happy marriage and admire you for making your wedding private. You wanted to share it with us, those who have good vibes, but no. I apologize on behalf of all Cubans and I am disappointed."
