Renowned Cuban actress Diana Rosa Suárez, celebrated for her illustrious career in theater and television, is currently recuperating in Guyana after suffering a heart attack that went undetected during recent medical examinations in Havana.

The news was shared by sports journalist Julita Osendi through her social media channels. According to Osendi, Suárez suffered the heart attack in Havana, but it was not initially identified by the doctors at the Cardiology Institute, despite undergoing two electrocardiograms.

Afterward, the actress traveled to Guyana, where local doctors advised her to take a full month of complete rest. Diana Rosa Suárez, known for her iconic roles such as "La novia del Zorro" and other memorable characters, was in Guyana for an appointment at the U.S. embassy to process a visa to reunite with her grandchildren and nieces abroad.

Official Response and Care Coordination

Osendi mentioned that Cuba's Ministry of Culture is aware of Suárez's situation and has pledged to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Health. The aim is to ensure that the actress receives medical attention from Cuban doctors on mission in Guyana before she returns to Havana.
