In response to a follower's comment asking, "What I want to know is why there aren't new episodes. Please understand that Pánfilo and his neighbors brighten our Mondays. Enough with the restrictions; you can't hide the sun with a finger," Silva replied ominously, "Don't expect good news." These words have fueled speculation and concern over the future of the show.

Marlon Pijuán, another cast member, echoed the sentiment by adding a somber "unfortunately" when sharing Silva's post. The public fears that the show might be banned or removed from Cuban television programming altogether. It's widely recognized that, beyond humor, the show is known for its frequent critiques of the Cuban reality, boldly addressing the nation's most pressing issues.

The latest new episode of Vivir del Cuento, titled "Lo que el agua nos dejó," was released on September 16, coinciding with the show's 16th anniversary just two days prior.
