A fire erupted on Friday at the headquarters of Cuba's Official Gazette, located at 352 Zanja Street, at the corner of Escobar, in Central Havana. The incident, which occurred between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m., prompted a swift response from firefighters and law enforcement, according to the independent portal Cubanet.

Preliminary reports suggest that the blaze may have been triggered by the explosion of an electrical transformer positioned on the building's facade. Although images reveal smoke and visible damage on the exterior of the structure, reports indicate that the interior of the headquarters did not suffer significant harm, as stated by the aforementioned media outlet.

Rapid Response Prevents Further Damage

The firefighters, alongside security personnel, acted quickly to extinguish the flames and secure the affected area. So far, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from this incident, which drew considerable attention from local residents.
