El Chulo Sets Aside Past Conflicts to Show Support for El Taiger's Recovery
Description not available

In the past few hours, El Chulo has joined the ranks of Cuban reggaeton artists who, despite previous conflicts with El Taiger, are expressing their hopes for his recovery after he was critically wounded by a gunshot in Miami this Thursday. "In case you didn't know, silence can also be a sign of support, respect, and empathy. José Manuel @el_taiger, wishing you a speedy recovery. I firmly believe that God can perform miracles," wrote Abel Díaz Rodríguez, El Chulo's real name, on Instagram.

"The most important thing right now is for you to stabilize and live so you can raise your daughters. I regret that you are going through this difficult situation. Never forget that the inner strength you possess is greater than any challenge you face," he added. The post has been welcomed by dozens of fans of both artists and has also received praise from other performers.

"You're amazing, Chulete, that's why I love and respect you, brother!" wrote Yulien Oviedo. "I admire you," commented Eduardo Antonio; while Dani Ome simply stated, "Amen." El Chulo aligns himself with other reggaeton artists like Chocolate and Ja Rulay, who, despite having a history of clashes with El Taiger—some quite recent—have put those disagreements on hold to wish for the singer's recovery as he fights for his life in a Miami hospital after being shot in the forehead under circumstances still under investigation.

Past Disputes Resurfaced

Despite the current wave of support, the relationship between El Chulo and El Taiger has been marked by several public disputes. In June 2022, tensions escalated when El Chulo publicly criticized El Taiger for frequently visiting Cuba, a privilege he lacked due to his non-resident status in the U.S. The conflict quickly intensified, even involving family members and leading to threats of physical confrontations.

Another notable controversy arose when El Chulo began a relationship with La China Lay, El Taiger's ex-girlfriend. This prompted a public reaction from El Taiger, who, despite claiming indifference to the relationship, made sarcastic remarks that fueled the controversy.

A Recent Change of Heart

However, in January of this year, both reggaeton artists decided to bury the hatchet through a series of video exchanges where they apologized to each other. Despite the ups and downs in their relationship, El Chulo's recent gesture shows that in critical moments, empathy and respect can transcend past disagreements. This sentiment is echoed by several reggaeton artists amid the dire situation El Taiger faces.
