Saturday, October 5, 2024 by Sofia Valdez

On Friday night, Chocolate MC took part in a vigil held outside the hospital where fellow reggaeton artist El Taiger is battling for his life after being shot in the head. "Get up from that bed!" exclaimed Yosvanis Arismin Sierra Hernández as he held a candle he had just lit in his hand.

"He's going to be okay," Chocolate assured, lighting another candle and placing it on the ground amidst applause and words of thanks from those gathered. Earlier, Chocolate had already expressed his support on Instagram for his colleague, with whom he had several disputes in the past.

"There have been times when I've been so high up that I felt I could hardly breathe, so I quickly find a way to escape. El Taiger, you can handle this and more. You're the anchor, let's go, a wave of prayers. May God and everything that exists lend a hand," wrote El Rey de los Reparteros on his Instagram account.

Social Media Support and Solidarity

In a gesture of solidarity, Chocolate also changed his profile picture on the social media platform to an image of the "La Historia" singer. Since news of El Taiger's critical condition broke, numerous Cuban artists and fans have flooded social media with messages of support, wishing him a speedy recovery.

Ongoing Investigation

The incident involving El Taiger remains under investigation, with police urging anyone with information to come forward. However, as it is an active investigation, authorities have withheld details about the event. Currently, the Cuban singer is in a highly critical state, suffering from severe brain damage and relying on life support.
