Comedian Ulises Toirac has expressed disappointment over the reactions of many Cubans to recent events that have stirred public sentiment, such as the assault on reggaeton artist El Taiger in Miami. In a candid Facebook post, Ulises remarked that what he encounters on social media feels alien: a world devoid of warmth, empathy, and critical thinking—simplistic and dehumanized.

"If the majority thinks and expresses themselves like this, then count me out; I'm on a different wavelength," he commented. The comedian touched upon the recent passing of singer-songwriter Martha Valdés, the shooting incident involving El Taiger, and the stroke suffered by singer Omara Portuondo in Barcelona. He lamented the negative impact these events have had on the Cuban online community.

Reflection on Cuban Community Reactions

"These occurrences have unleashed the worst aspects, clearly indicating that something is amiss with the Cuban people," Toirac stated. "It's apparent why there seems to be no end to this." However, he did not specify the exact online comments that prompted his remarks.

So far, the incident involving El Taiger and his health condition has sparked a wave of solidarity and unity among Cubans both in Miami and on the Island.
