The currency exchange rates in Cuba's informal market seem to have re-entered a period of fluctuation, with this Saturday witnessing a couple of notable shifts. The dollar has increased, while the euro has slightly decreased. As of 7:00 a.m. local time on October 5th, the U.S. dollar is being sold on average for 323 Cuban Pesos (CUP), which is three pesos higher than its value on Friday, a level it had maintained for several weeks except for two days.
Meanwhile, the euro has dropped by one peso, bringing it back to a value of 335 pesos. The only currency that remains unchanged is the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), which continues to be valued at 270 pesos.
