Reggaeton Artists Urged to Unite in Tribute Song for El Taiger

Cuban singer Dany Ome has called on reggaeton artists to come together to create a song dedicated to El Taiger, with all proceeds going directly to him. In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Dany urged his fellow musicians to support El Taiger, who is currently battling for his life after being shot in the head on Thursday.

"I want everyone to be a part of this, it’s not about money or anything else, this is for Jose, for El Taiger," he emphasized. Dany, who is currently on a tour in Spain with Kevincito El 13, appealed to all Cuban reggaeton artists to put aside any rivalries and join his cause.

"I want to see everyone I reached out to, and even those I didn’t, telling me they’re in," he concluded. Dany was among the Cuban artists who expressed their concern over El Taiger's critical condition; he is in intensive care suffering from severe brain damage and is on life support.

"Life changes in a second. When I learned about your current situation, I couldn't accept it. I can't comprehend what I've been told. God is great and I know he will lend a hand, and you will pull through this. Just the other day, you called to advise me, telling me what I needed to do, how I should proceed. I can't believe it, I swear on my children, it doesn't fit in my head. Let's all put our strength together and pray," Dany wrote on his social media platforms.

As he is not in the United States, Dany sent his mother to attend a vigil held Friday night at the location where El Taiger was found injured by police. Dozens of Cubans gathered for a prayer chain, hoping for his recovery. "Noelia Pedraza is there representing us. We hope you recover," he shared on Instagram.
