Otaola Suggests Cuban Government May Be Behind Accusation Against Former Treasurer and Issues a Warning

Influencer Alexander Otaola has emphatically stated that he has no involvement with the recent sexual misconduct charges leading to the arrest of Andy Santana, his former campaign treasurer for Miami-Dade mayor. He hinted that the Cuban government might be orchestrating the situation and issued a warning in response.

During his program, Otaola described the situation as "sad," reiterating a sentiment he had previously shared in a written statement on his social media accounts. "We are appalled and disapprove of any act that violates moral standards or the law," he expressed.

"In this specific case, there are deliberate attempts to implicate me, and I want to be clear: The Cuban dictatorship has repeatedly used this tactic to tarnish and destroy the reputation of those who oppose them. There are documented instances throughout Miami's anti-communist history where good people have been entangled in such accusations," Otaola added, referencing his past candidacy for Miami-Dade mayor.

Justice Must Prevail, Says Otaola

Otaola clarified that he is not attempting to justify any actions of his former treasurer. He emphasized that justice should take its course, and if found guilty, Santana must face the consequences. "The minor involved repeatedly mentions my name to embroil me in this. I want to make it clear that I have absolutely nothing to do with it," he reiterated.

Despite calling the situation "painful and embarrassing" for his entire team, Otaola emphasized the importance of the "presumption of innocence" until proven guilty. "Those who aim to use this against me will not succeed. Those attempting extortion to pressure me will fail. Neither the dictatorship in Havana nor their accomplices here will silence me," he declared.

Otaola's Determination to Fight Back

Otaola dismissed claims made by the young individual involved, who alleged, "Otaola knew, Otaola was part of it," insisting that these accusations are false. He reiterated his resolve to continue working with integrity. "I have nothing to hide. No one can associate me with actions that do not reflect my reality. My message to those behind this: 'Buckle up, because the counterattack will be relentless,'" he concluded.
