Aly Sánchez Highlights El Taiger's Unseen Act of Kindness Amidst Tragedy: "He Was There for Us"

Sunday, October 6, 2024 by Sofia Valdez

Cuban host Aly Sánchez is deeply affected by the recent events involving her friend, reggaeton artist El Taiger, who is in critical condition after being shot in the head. As the Cuban singer remains hospitalized, Aly took to Instagram to share a touching and previously unknown story in support of the "La historia" performer.

In her post, Aly addressed those who questioned her friendship with El Taiger during a previous smear campaign against him. Despite the backlash, she stood firm, stating, "I am loyal to my friends and I stand by those who stand by me."

The Unknown Act of Generosity

She went on to recount an anecdote that, she believes, reveals the true character of José Manuel Carvajal, El Taiger's real name, and explains her deep appreciation for him. Aly remembered a benefit event she organized to support child survivors and their families. Without hesitation, El Taiger joined the cause, even though he knew few attendees and the event received little media attention. "He was there for us, he messaged me Friday night to confirm and showed up Saturday at 8 AM, ready to pose for photos with everyone who asked," she noted, highlighting his humility.

Witness Accounts of El Taiger's Character

According to Aly, El Taiger viewed his involvement in such events as part of "God's work." Her post ended with a message of hope and unwavering support for her friend during these challenging times. "We are very sad, brother. We are praying hard for you," she concluded.

Heydy González and Eddy Borges, who were also present at the event, fondly recalled El Taiger's participation that day. "I can attest to that day, I was a witness. He looked me in the eyes and said, 'Good people always have work and show their best by making others happy with what they love,'" the Cuban singer remembered. Meanwhile, the actress commented on Aly's post, "It's all so overwhelming, I don't have a single photo from that day, but it's etched in my memory like it was yesterday. I have great faith he will pull through! God is in control."
