Eduardo Antonio Criticizes Otaola Following Controversial Remarks About El Taiger

Sunday, October 6, 2024 by Ava Castillo

Cuban singer Eduardo Antonio launched a fierce criticism at Alexander Otaola, challenging him over his contentious remarks regarding the potential consequences for El Taiger after being shot in the head. "Who do you think you are? You're just a backdrop, not someone in the forefront. You lack values and feelings," the Divo began in a video, recalling how Otaola had previously made inappropriate comments when Eduardo Antonio himself was in critical condition a few months ago.

"Who are you to have a say on what his audience, his followers, the Cuban people want? This has become widespread because it's not about someone's actions or behavior; it's about the life of a human being who is much loved, unlike you, and that's your pain," the singer continued.

Eduardo Antonio reminded Otaola that despite his attempts to sabotage El Taiger's concerts and launch unpleasant campaigns against him, he couldn't bring him down. "Like you've tried to do with all Cuban artists, whom you don't value at all. You have bad blood. You don't even care about your own, and in life, you need to have principles, which you lack," he pointed out.

"You couldn't take him down, and that's your agony, just as you can't destroy me or many others because you're not an artist. You're an influencer who, at some point, was clever and quick, but lies have short legs and eventually come to light. You're not transparent, nor are you perfect," he added.

The Impact of Hurtful Words

Although he didn't directly address the recent interview Otaola conducted with a former employee of the Divo of Placetas, who revealed personal details about the singer, Eduardo Antonio questioned who Otaola is to pry into others' lives.

The artist from Villa Clara criticized the influencer for disregarding the difficult situation faced by El Taiger's family. "Who is anyone to judge El Taiger's behavior now? The priority is his recovery. Afterwards, we should all strive to be better people to help him move forward. We've all faced struggles in life, and you even more so. You live in a glass house. Enough. Stop earning people's hatred," he insisted.

He further stated that Otaola couldn't be a mayor because the harm he does without authority is unimaginable. "You can't be a mayor because God gives abundantly but knows to whom. You weren't given power because you, as a nobody, already want to hurt, mistreat, ruin, and humiliate people. Imagine if you had power. Your only power is those cameras following you and a team that doesn't read comments or tells you to come back to reality."

Calls for Reflection Among Artists

While Eduardo Antonio had remained silent about Otaola's past comments about him, he couldn't hold back after the influencer's remarks on El Taiger, who is unable to defend himself. "He is popular, loved, cherished, an artist, a star in his genre, and this is the result. You can't cover the sun with a finger. [...] Who are you to talk about people's lives as if you're a good person or perfect? You're not perfect, and you know it. Reinvent yourself, change your tune. Leave the world in peace; you have no life. You're afraid to go out because you've spread so much venom and hatred that you're scared. Build a house at the North Pole where no one can reach you," he ranted.

Finally, after concluding that the comment about El Taiger was "very disastrous" and "low," Eduardo Antonio urged "confused" artists who still follow that "spawn of the devil" to open their eyes. Alexander Otaola's comments amid El Taiger's critical condition, after being shot in the head last Thursday, have sparked a wave of outrage on social media.

"If El Taiger survives, which I hope he does, so that those sending good vibes can receive that blessing, they must know he will have special needs," Otaola stated on one of his shows, referring to the reggaeton artist's health and the support he is receiving. The controversial Miami ex-mayoral candidate added in a tone perceived by many as derogatory and lacking humanity: "You'll have to help change his diaper, feed him, clean him, perfume him, take him for walks, so I hope you're all ready, should El Taiger overcome this, to take turns hosting him a month at each of your homes."

Besides Eduardo Antonio, other artists like singers El Micha and Seidy La Niña, along with comedian Ariel Mancebo, have also condemned Otaola's words.
