Cuban comedian Limay Blanco has voiced his strong disapproval of the comments made by Alexander Otaola regarding the health condition of Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger. El Taiger is currently in intensive care at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after suffering a gunshot wound to the head last Thursday. Blanco expressed his anger on Instagram, stating, "I don't know about you, but I've already blocked him and will block anyone who shares his content with me," highlighting his frustration with the Cuban influencer based in the United States. Otaola’s remarks have sparked widespread outrage on social media.

In one of his shows, Otaola commented on El Taiger's health status and the support he is receiving, saying, "Now everyone is his friend, now everyone wants the best for El Taiger, now it's all about forgiveness and forgetting, now everyone is in a prayer chain. If El Taiger survives, which I hope he does, all those sending good vibes should know he will have special needs." His tone, perceived as dismissive and lacking compassion by many, continued with, "You'll need to help change his diaper, feed him, clean him, perfume him, take him for walks, so I hope you're all ready, if El Taiger pulls through, to take turns having him at your homes for a month each."

Community and Artists React

Numerous artists have expressed their disapproval of Otaola's comments. Among the most outspoken is Eduardo Antonio, who released a video condemning Otaola's statements. "Who do you think you are? You're just decoration in the back rows. You're not front row material. You're a man without values or feelings," the Divo declared in a video, also recalling previous insensitive comments Otaola made when Eduardo Antonio was gravely ill some months ago.

Cuban comedian Ariel Mancebo also criticized Otaola’s insensitivity, stating, "You went too far."

Current Status of El Taiger

The latest updates indicate that El Taiger is "stable," though he remains in critical condition. The investigation into the incident in which he was shot continues. The reggaeton community, along with fans and fellow musicians, have shown significant support, rallying for his recovery. El Taiger is a father to a son and two daughters and has a living grandmother, adding a personal dimension to the public's empathetic response.
