Chocolate MC Urges Focus on El Taiger, Criticizes Otaola Drama

Monday, October 7, 2024 by Emma Garcia

Cuban artist Chocolate MC recently took to social media to express his support for fellow musician José Manuel Carvajal, better known as El Taiger, who is in critical condition after being shot in the head. Demonstrating solidarity, Chocolate MC participated in a vigil and sent messages of encouragement, urging the Cuban community to unite rather than fuel controversy and hatred.

In a video posted on Instagram, Chocolate addressed the contentious remarks made by Alexander Otaola, encouraging people to focus on sending positive vibes to El Taiger instead of reacting to the presenter’s statements. "Everyone is attacking Otaola, but you already know how he is. He's unscrupulous and predictable. What could he possibly do now that surprises you?" he questioned. Chocolate noted that while Otaola's actions might not be appropriate, he himself felt justified in supporting El Taiger after having recently apologized to him and his family.

"Let each person stew in their own hatred; eventually, it will consume them. Now people want to make a big spectacle on social media. Concentrate on José. We need positive energy; don't let others spread their negativity," Chocolate MC emphasized. "We need God's hand so he can rise from that bed and continue giving us music," he added, expressing hope for El Taiger's recovery.

Reflections on Artistry and Criticism

Chocolate MC lamented the ongoing disputes and rivalries within the community, stressing the importance of unity. "Instead of learning and coming together, we continue to stir up controversies and conflicts," he lamented. "We should be united. Right now, everyone is fixated on Otaola, when we should be focusing on José, praying for his recovery and hoping for a miracle," he stated.

The musician also reflected on the harsh criticism faced by many in the entertainment industry. "People don't know when an artist is feeling down. I understand and relate to him [El Taiger]. Support your artists because not long ago, he was being criticized and even compared to me," Chocolate advised, urging followers to uplift artists instead of bringing them down with negative remarks.
