Monday, October 7, 2024 by Aaron Delgado

During an appearance on Enrique Santos' program, Marcel Reinosa, the manager of Cuban singer El Taiger, shared encouraging updates regarding the artist's health. On Monday, October 7th, Reinosa reported that doctors have noted a slight but meaningful improvement in his recovery after El Taiger was hospitalized last Thursday due to a gunshot wound to the head.

Reinosa disclosed that El Taiger's kidney has gradually begun to function, and his body is independently regulating its temperature. "It's really positive that his body is starting to respond on its own," he stated. Furthermore, he emphasized that the singer is not suffering from brain death, which provides "a hundred percent hope" for his recovery.

Signs of Progress Amid Uncertainty

Although uncertainty remains as the inflammatory process is ongoing, Reinosa explained that medical professionals are conducting regular tests to monitor his condition. "Nothing can be determined until the swelling completely subsides," he noted, stressing the significance of the upcoming examinations.

This update has offered relief to El Taiger's fans, who are eagerly awaiting further progress in his health and a swift recovery.

Hope and Determination

"The doctors told us that José has shown a small advancement, and even the slightest progress is crucial. There hadn't been any signs in the past 72 hours until last night, when his body began to respond. His body is managing its temperature, and his kidneys are starting to work," Reinosa mentioned during another part of the program. He further explained, "To help people understand, the doctor said José has only one functioning vein in his brain, and thanks to that, they haven't been able to declare brain death. That's very important. This progress gives us faith to keep fighting."
