A Cuban priest known as a babalawo delivered a touching message of hope and positive energy this Saturday to the Cuban singer José Manuel Carbajal, widely recognized as El Taiger. Currently stable yet still in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, El Taiger received this uplifting message: "There is no greater joy than the blessing of a people." The video was shared on TikTok by Kevin (@kartiles95), who addressed the singer directly, saying, "You are going through a situation from which you will emerge, because you are a child of San Lázaro."
The babalawo emphasized the love and support of the artist’s fans: "You have an entire community standing by you, laying their hands on the ground for you, with all your flaws, with your virtues, with all that can be said about you, but ultimately, you are a human being."
Community and Religious Support
The religious leader urged everyone of faith to lay their hands on the ground, light a candle, and pray to San Lázaro for El Taiger's recovery. "I call on every religious person to place their palms on the floor, say a prayer to San Lázaro, light a candle, and ask for the health of this individual," he expressed.
He also added that once El Taiger recovers and views the message, he should remember that the deities are on his side, encouraging him to continue doing good and hoping life continues to smile upon him.

People from around the world have been praying for El Taiger's recovery following the shooting he suffered last Thursday. Fans of the artist gathered in Barcelona on Sunday evening to pray for his healing while the reggaeton star remains in critical condition at the Miami hospital. The event began at 7:00 p.m. at the city’s Cathedral, located in the Pla de la Seu.
During the gathering, candles were lit, and songs by the popular Cuban musician, adored by the "reparteros," were sung and danced to. Vigils have also taken place in numerous Cuban cities where people have prayed for the artist's well-being.
In Santiago de Cuba, for instance, several locations hosted these gatherings, despite the Cuban police militarizing the streets out of fear of potential protests.
