Thursday, October 10, 2024 by Ernesto Alvarez

In a heartfelt display of support, Cuban artist El Charly from the duo Charly & Johayron, has once again expressed his unwavering solidarity with El Taiger. The reggaeton star remains in a critical fight for his life at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital after being shot in the head on October 3rd.

Just hours ago, El Charly took to Instagram to share a story featuring a lit candle, accompanied by El Taiger's song "Secreto" playing in the background. In this moving post, El Charly wrote, "I'm still praying for you, brother. Beyond the artistic, beyond music, beyond anything related to social media. We spoke so much recently that it's hard to believe this is happening, tiger. Rise up, brother!" His message, brimming with emotion, underscores the deep bond they share beyond their musical ties.

Expressions of Solidarity

El Charly's support didn't start here. Upon hearing of El Taiger's grave condition, he had already shown his solidarity by sharing a photo with the reggaeton artist's parents, captioned, "Beyond music, you have another family, mine. I offer it to very few people. God's children never fall! Get well soon."

The following day, Charly & Johayron surprised their followers by sharing a snippet of "Luchador," an emotional song dedicated to El Taiger, serving as a beacon of hope. With the message "The whole country awaits you! Get well soon LBMA. This one's for you, brother," the song quickly went viral, amassing over 99,000 views and currently exceeding 120,000 on the duo's profile. The lyrics provide a powerful message of faith in his recovery: "Just trust in God. Everything will be fine. Don't be afraid. You're watched over. Have faith. The toughest battles are for the strongest soldiers. You'll see a new dawn again."

Community Support and Ongoing Investigation

Meanwhile, El Taiger's legal team confirmed on Wednesday that the reggaeton star is "medically alive," squashing rumors of his demise, though his condition remains critical. His family, still in Cuba, is anxiously awaiting the approval of a humanitarian visa to join him during this trying time.

The Cuban music community and fans have shown an outpouring of support on social media. Miami authorities continue their investigation into the attack and have offered a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the capture of Damián Valdez-Galloso, the main suspect, who remains at large.

During this challenging period, close friends like El Charly and loyal fans persist in their prayers for El Taiger's swift recovery, keeping the hope alive that he will overcome this difficult ordeal.
