Cuba has officially announced its roster of 28 players set to represent the island nation in the third edition of the Premier 12, the most prestigious tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). Led by manager Armando Jhonson, the squad is a mix of seasoned athletes with experience in leagues across Mexico, Venezuela, the United States, and Japan. The lineup includes two catchers, seven infielders, six outfielders, and 13 pitchers.

A notable absence is Major Leaguer Yoan Moncada. According to sources close to baseball journalist Francys Romero, Moncada has opted out to focus on other priorities, including preparing for a new contract in the Major Leagues.

Cuba's Challenging Path in Group B

Starting November 13, Cuba will compete in Group B, located in Chinese Taipei. They will face tough opponents such as the hosts, the Dominican Republic, Australia, South Korea, and the reigning 2019 champions, Japan.

They suffered two shutouts in three games, managed only 28 strikeouts against zero extra-base hits, and secured a meager four walks.
