Former Barcelona soccer player and now music producer, Pinto "Wahin", has shared his profound sorrow over the passing of Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, who died in Miami this past Thursday after spending a week in critical condition. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head on October 3rd.

Through his Instagram account, Pinto posted a heartfelt tribute, recalling the moments he shared with El Taiger, including their collaboration on the soundtrack for the movie Fast & Furious 8. "Deeply saddened. Our beloved @el_taiger has left us, yet his energy and strength will always remain alive in our hearts. I was honored to share special moments and make history with him, @rickylunamusic, and @jaimecoscu, creating one of the memorable anthems for #Fast&Furious 8, 'La Habana.' You were a relentless warrior who lived each day with passion and bravery. Your legacy will not end here. Your music, your light, and the impact you made on all of us will continue to echo. Even though you're gone, your spirit will live on in every beat, every memory, every laugh you shared with us. Rest in peace, brother. We'll meet again down the road. With all my love and gratitude, #PintoWahin," he wrote alongside a photo featuring El Micha.

Pinto "Wahin's" collaboration with El Taiger and Ricky Luna on the track "La Habana" from the Fast & Furious 8 soundtrack was a highlight in the Cuban reggaeton star's career. El Taiger, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, also worked with prominent artists like J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Cosculluela.

The untimely death of El Taiger has sent shockwaves through the Cuban music scene, leaving friends, colleagues, and fans worldwide heartbroken. The singer was discovered on October 3rd in a car, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on October 10th.

His musical legacy will continue to live on through his work and in the hearts of those who grew up listening to his music.
