Cuban singer and activist Yotuel Romero has publicly expressed his wish for the remains of reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal, known as El Taiger, to be laid to rest in Cuba, where his entire family resides. Yotuel took to Facebook, emphasizing that El Taiger should receive his final farewell surrounded by family, children, and loved ones in his homeland. He urged the Cuban Ministry of Culture to approach this matter with compassion, accompanying his message with the hashtag #JusticeForElTaiger.

"In my opinion, El Taiger deserves to have his last goodbye from his family, children, and loved ones in his #Cuba, and the humanity of the Ministry of Culture should be evident #JusticeForElTaiger," Yotuel stated. Many of El Taiger's followers, affectionately referring to him as "Big Tai," agree that his remains should be transported to the island, where his family and natural fanbase have kept vigil, hoping for a miracle of recovery.

Cuban Fans Call for Unity Among Artists

"This shouldn't even be up for debate; it's in Cuba, alongside his beloved mother, where his remains should rest. There are many Cuban artists here; unite to send him to his family so that his daughters, grandmother, and other loved ones can give him a final farewell. Eternal peace to you #Taiger #ThePrideOfYourCountry, fly high, eternal light to you," commented a supporter.

El Taiger's Passing and Family's Gratitude

El Taiger was pronounced dead this Thursday at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, after spending a week fighting for his life following a gunshot wound to the head. The artist's family, including his daughters, grandmother, cousins, and uncles who live in Cuba, expressed gratitude to the reggaeton star's supporters for the outpouring of support since El Taiger became a "victim of a senseless violent crime" last week. They announced that a memorial service would be held soon, allowing "Big Tai's" fans to pay their respects.
